Andrew Starblanket has been dancing old-style grass since he could walk. Raised on the Star Blanket First Nation, Andrew is a champion dancer, who represents the Star Blanket First Nation and Canada around the world, dancing at powwows—even competing in Europe in 2010 at the age of 16.
Having completed his B. Ed in Indigenous Education in 2017, Andrew is now Vice Principal at Cowessess Community Educational Centre, and has taught there for over 5 years. He strives to take a holistic approach when it comes to teaching and learning.
